As part of our ongoing commitment to community service and social responsibility DORPON was proud to host a Blood Donation Event on 31st May 2026 at Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, Parramatta. The event was participated by 16 donors including DORPON family and community members. This initiative was organised with the aim of contributing to the critical need for blood supplies and supporting healthcare services within the community.
In addition to the direct impact of saving lives, this initiative helped raise awareness among our members about the importance of voluntary blood donation. This group effort reflects our organisation’s dedication to making a positive difference in the community. By partnering with the Red Cross and participating in such initiatives, we continue to promote a culture of empathy, teamwork, and community engagement.

This initiative is aimed at celebrating the Bengali New Year while fostering community unity, cultural preservation, and social inclusion within the multicultural environment of Australia.
The initiative also contributes to strengthening cultural identity among younger generations by providing them with an opportunity to experience and participate in traditional celebrations. At the same time, it promotes multicultural awareness by inviting people from diverse backgrounds to experience Bengali culture.

Starting with limited resources, volunteers and community members collaborated to organise the puja—arranging the venue, sourcing the idol, coordinating rituals, and planning cultural programs. Since its inception, the Durga Puja event organized by Dorpon has grown steadily each year, both in scale and impact. More families, volunteers, and sponsors have joined the initiative, strengthening its foundation as a community-driven event.
